Kathryn Savage attended New School University and holds an MFA in creative writing from Bennington College. She has received fellowships and support from the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference, the Ucross Foundation, and the Vermont Studio Center.

Kathryn’s work has appeared or is forthcoming in Poets & Writers Magazine, The Village Voice, The Star Tribune, Ploughshares.com, SAND: Berlin’s International Literary Journal, and the anthology The Best Small Fictions of 2015, selected by Robert Olen Butler.

Currently, Kathryn teaches creative writing at The Loft Literary Center, where she also serves as the Community Partnership Manager. She volunteers with the Minnesota Prison Writing Workshop. She is working on a collection of short stories.
